We look forward to welcoming you back to CityROCK! Please visit our Covid-19 protocol page to see our access regulations and policies.
Our operating hours under level 3 regulations are 9 am to 8 pm Monday to Thursday and 9 am to 6 pm Friday to Sunday and public holidays. If you froze your membership and would like to reactivate it now, please email email@example.com
Our climbing facilities include a large bouldering area (bouldering is climbing 3-4m high without a rope) and up to 15m high walls for roped climbing.
We cater to many different audiences – from first-time kids to experienced outdoor climbers, and everyone in between.
CityROCK is more than just a climbing gym, it is where like-minded people meet and share their passion for climbing.
Our coffee shop area has a relaxed vibe and is the ideal place to meet friends, climbing partners and make plans for your next trip. Free Wi-Fi makes it a great spot to interact through your social media network, while having coffee, chatting, or browsing through climbing magazines and route guides.
All climbers and belayers must pass our compulsory top rope belay test. We advise new climbers to book a spot on one of our introductory courses and familiarise yourself with our facility rules. Upon completion of the belay test you will receive an orange top belay test tag which must be clearly displayed when climbing or belaying. Note: We only use the Grigri belay device for all top rope climbing. If you are not familiar with the Grigri, we offer a 10-minute refresher.
The video will take you through our top rope belay test. If you do not know what we are talking about in the video, you will need to take our introductory course.
