Completed your introduction course and the climbing bug has bitten? This 1 hour course is the next step to get you comfortable on the wall and in your new found happy place.
Our awesome instructors will show you the ins and outs of climbing with a focus on the different types of holds and how to hold them, footwork and body position, the lingo and climbing etiquette.
Cost: R150 per person
Please note that in order to do the Climbing 102 course you must already have the skills from the Introductory Belay Course (101) and be Top Rope certified. This is not required for bouldering.
BASIC BALANCE & TECHNIQUE
(Climbing or Bouldering) – Four Weeks, 1 Class per Week, Wednesday 6-8pm
Looking for greater ease in your climbing? This 4 week course focuses on finding balance through precise footwork and optimal body positions, sequencing, and how to find rests. The skills taught in this class are essential to every climber, from beginner to advanced. This training benefits the climber who wants to learn better climbing technique, establish good climbing for lead climbing and bouldering, and those pushing harder grades. This course is generally taken by our enthusiastic phase 1 coaches – Wesley, Jean, Kirsten, Ben and Dane.
Cost: R880 per person (4 sessions)
Please note that in order to do the Beginner Orientation you must already have the skills from the Introductory Belay Course and be Top Rope certified. This is not required for bouldering.
FITNESS ASSESSMENT AND 1 MONTH PROGRAM
Comprehensive 1 hour fitness assessment which will broaden your understanding of your personal health and fitness goals while providing baseline measurements of your current endurance, strength, flexibility and climbing level. A 1 month training program will be supplied after the assessment from your dedicated coach that will give you the guidance needed to reach your climbing and fitness goals. The assessment can be taken multiple times to measure your improvement and give new and improved goals as your fitness grows and improves.
Cost: R450 per person.
