If you’ve never been to CityROCK before, you’re in for a treat! But before you can get to the fun, you’ll need to take note of the following:
Every person that enters the CityROCK premises, whether or not they will be climbing, must complete a liability waiver and present a government-issued photo ID or driver’s licence for verification.Â
For people under 18 years of age, the liability waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. If the parent or guardian will not be present on the day of your visit, please bring a photocopy of their ID or driver’s licence.
We recommend filling out the waiver online prior to your visit to avoid delays.Â
Your safety is our top priority and we take no shortcuts here. Every person wanting to climb at CityROCK must complete a safety orientation on their first visit, regardless of experience level.Â
If you want to top-rope or lead climb at CityROCK, you will need to pass a simple belay test (regardless of your experience level). Returning customers who have not been in the facility for one year or more will also need to retake the belay test.
If you haven’t climbed before, we highly recommend signing up for our Introductory Course – this will teach you everything you need to know for a safe and fun session.
All children aged 5 years and older are welcome to climb at CityROCK.
We know kids love to climb, and this is the place for them to have fun and get out of their comfort zone while improving fine muscle control, strength, body awareness, balance, hand-eye coordination and more. Plus, they’ll gain a sense of achievement, boost their overall physical and mental health, and make some lifelong friends along the way.
Bookings are required for ALL non-member kids under 13 years old wanting to climb at CityROCK. No walk-in day-pass kids will be permitted.
Kids’ climbing sessions are 2 hours long – if you would like more climbing time you are welcome to book multiple sessions on the same day. Bookings can be made below. We require a booking for each individual child that will be attending. If no booking slots are available for a specific time or day then we are fully booked.
Any child (over the age of 5 and under the age of 18) can climb at CityROCK once their parent or guardian* has signed a minor waiver on their behalf. If the parent or guardian will not be present on the day of your visit, please bring a photocopy of the adult’s government-issued ID or driver’s licence for verification.
*Please Note: Legal guardians must present proof of guardianship to sign a child’s waiver.
Children under 16 must be under constant adult supervision, regardless of their climbing ability. We do not provide supervision.
We require a ratio of one adult supervisor per child for kids aged 5-6, and a ratio of one adult supervisor per two children for kids aged 7-12.
Please read our kids rules and safety regulations before visiting CityROCK to ensure a fun, hassle-free experience.
